David Paterson

Owner

With 17 years in the industry, David founded Redland City Marina after he blew the motor in his boat and couldn’t find a place to go that suited his needs.   Taking things into his own hands, David found the property that now holds the Marina.

David has made Redland City Marina into one of the most well fit out Marinas in the South East of Qld.

Ken Drummond

MANAGER

Brought up on a fishing boat from 4 years old, Ken has a 35 year background in boat building.   He also has experience as a mechanic and  worked on Collins class submarines as the team leader for the Fiberglass section.

Ken initially ran his own boat building business here are the Marina before moving on to become the Manager.

If you have any questions about boats, then Ken is your man.

Lauren Dwight

Office/Chandlery Manager

Lauren has been with the business since inception – she has seen it all and met everyone.  She is the friendly face who will greet you in the Chandlery on-site, and help with all of your bookings.

Together with Ken, Lauren has built the chandlery up to be a one-stop-shop to make sure you don’t have to leave while you are working on your boat.

Steve Blain

SLIP MANAGER

Originally a roof tiler, Steve started out in the capacity of general maintenance and gardener for the Marina.  He quickly moved to yardhand and is now in the role of Slip Master.

With 11 years of experience as a Slipmaster, he takes care of the boats and assesses the best way to slip the boat.  Utilising the different trolleys to match the size of the boat, Steve takes pride in ensuring all boats are slipped quickly and efficiently.
